The Samira Sanusi Sickle Cell Foundation (SSSCF) is inviting families, supporters, sponsors, warriors and well-wishers to the launching and screening of its debut short film titled “Sirrin Jini/Paths To Love”. Find below a statement from the foundation;
“It is with great pleasure that we announce to you, the debut of our newest project – a short film – Sirrin Jini/Paths to Love.
Late 2019 we channeled our energy into a different avenue to advocacy and sensitization on the importance of Genotype screening and matching for intending marrying couples.
As always, this part of advocacy remains at the pinnacle of our agenda. This means we are always finding ways of reaching people, passing the message and paving the way for common discourse towards lessening the impact of Sickle Cell Disease to persons, families, support systems and the state in general; in conjunction with our existing projects .
Teaming up with Weaned Child and based on stories and experiences of Sickle Cell Warriors and their navigations towards making life work, we produced this short film in the hopes of giving the stories imagery that matches.
Sirrin Jini is scheduled to show in various locations around Nigeria. Please keep up with us on our website & SM for information on viewings, tickets and much more.
Now showing – Yasmin El-Rufa’i Foundation, Kaduna on October 10th, 2020. Tickets available at Yasmin El-Rufa’i Foundation @yelffoundation and via our website on http://www.ssscf.org
We hope you take away our passion with you. Please share with us your views and feedbacks. We are always appreciative of your dedication and trust in us to carry out our duty. Thank you for your humanity!
