President Muhammadu Buhari met with traditional rulers from the north last week.
The meeting started at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa around 11.30am.
Among those at the meeting include the Sultan of Sokoto, Abubakar Sa’ad, the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido, the Emir of Bida, and Emir of Daura
Traditional rulers are very vital in community leadership as they are seen as the representative of age long traditions and customs.
They are also the governments mouthpiece at the grassroots level where most times leadership and guidance is needed the most.
The president is concerned on the rising insecurity across northern Nigeria so he reached out to the Traditional rulers for a solution.
