After 5months of COVID19 restriction, the first international flight has landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. It was an Ethiopian Airline which took off in Addis Ababa and landed in Abuja at 1:36PM, September 7th, 2020.
Following the rise in COVID19 cases in Nigeria and across the world, Nigeria had earlier placed a restriction on commercial international flights and subsequently local flight which has lasted over six months.
Due to the ease of lockdown, the Federal Government lifted the restrictions on flights, first on local flights and then international flights.
